Do I need to buy Power BI?
Usually yes, but it is inexpensive. Anyone who views the dashboard online needs a Power BI Pro licence, which is about $14 per user per month, paid directly to Microsoft. Many businesses only need one or two. I will tell you exactly what you need before we start, so there are no surprises.
What systems can you connect to?
Power BI connects to hundreds of systems, including Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, Shopify, Square, Lightspeed, AroFlo, Salesforce, HubSpot, SQL databases, SharePoint, Excel and Google Sheets. If you are not sure about yours, just ask. I will check before you commit to anything.
How long does it take?
A Starter dashboard is usually ready in about a week, and a Business dashboard in about two weeks. Multi-site or custom projects get a timeline after a short scoping call. The biggest factor is how quickly we can get access to your data.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Wherever possible I use read-only access, so nothing in your systems can be changed. Your dashboard and data live in your own Microsoft account, not mine, and you control who can see it. Access can be removed at any time.
What happens after the dashboard is built?
You get a handover session showing how to use it, and the dashboard keeps updating on its own. If you would like someone to keep an eye on it, the monthly support plans cover refresh monitoring, fixes and small changes.
Can I make changes later?
Of course. Businesses change and dashboards should too. Small changes are included in the monthly support plans, and anything larger is quoted at $120 per hour, agreed with you before any work starts.
